A mobile app for female travelers.
Every year, countless women have been
harassed or sexually assaulted when they travel alone.

BACKGROUND
British Airways released a report of “Global Solo Travel Study.” They analyzed trends in the various travel markets worldwide, group attributes, reasons for travel, and the most attractive destinations. According to the survey, more than 50% of females worldwide have chosen to travel alone, and 25% said they have plans to travel alone.
Harassment is the most considerable trouble for females in strangers, quickly leading them to the victim.
Women are much more likely than men to be the victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault. That’s why women should know how to protect themselves and stay safe during the trip.

ARCHITECTURE
Card Sorting–What does a desirable Information Architecture look like?
Based on the personal traits of personas, I came up with a card sorting exercise to further understand desirable information architecture.
First, I separated several modules, which are the main categories for information architecture. Second, I wrote some functions we could use under each category according to the several main types.

FINAL DESIGN

WHAT I LEARED
Be Organized:
Systematic project management helps to improve design execution. During this project, I generated a systematic platform for designing an approachable user experience by tidying up and sorting the complex information. As a result, it helps me to search quicker and explore ideas more accessible.
The Mindset of Empathy:
Empathy is a fundamental principle in UI/UX design. It is essential to know target audiences and users, which helped me understand more needs and wants from users' perspectives, considering accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. Empathizing helps me look deeper into situations so that I can think and create solutions for problems. It must help our users' problems while also accomplishing their needs.
